Well summer is over, we lived a lot of nice moments all together. Swimming, playing and just enjoying life. Now is the time to go slowly back to school... Next sunday we are going back and we just can't wait :) Akiba will be preparing himself for his obedience exam B-bh, wich he will probably pass at the end of spring 2011.
Akiba is now passed 11 months. He is still preparing for his obedience exam at the end of June. In the last month we participated at 2 thematic meetings of our Boxer club where Akiba was able to have a try at defense. The marker said that he is very promising and we are now trying to settle everything so he can start defense class at fall 2010. Our Akiba is now 10 months old. The time is going so fast. Akiba changed a lot in the last month. He is now a very obedient and loving dog. He is still going in school and likes it a lot. On April, 17th he participated in his 3rd show where he presented -very good 3rd place--.
Akiba started the obedience school 2 weeks ago! He likes his new dogs friends and especially his new teacher!! Our group is composed of 10 dogs from different working breeds from German Sheperd to Rottwailer. We are making progress and are on our way to succes!

Today we went on our second show. The show was in Ljubljana. When we arrived there were already a lot of dogs. In total around 1400 inscriptions were made!!! We found our way trough and joined our "Boxer friends" and waited our turn. The first to go was the Dogues de Bordeaux. Then they started the Boxers. In our category was 2 others dogs , Akiba"s brothers!! I was kind of confident because I knew the other participants. But my confidence tricked me as I came into the ring. I was really nervous and my nervosity gained me and I lost complete control of my dog. Akiba was really agitated and really not concentrated. We trained a lot for this moment , but once into the ring it is a complete different story!! I showed my dog to the judge, wich was not so bad. Akiba was very nice showing his teeth , but then he jumped on the judge twice and started beeing completely out of control! His movements were irregular but he posed well. We received 3rd place, wich was the last. I was kind of upset due to our intense training, but once I saw the descriptions that the judge made, I was very happy. Akiba received the grade "very promising 3" wich is excellent and pushes us to go further! We are actually training for our next show, wich will probably be in April 2010, in Maribor. The weather is actually not on our side, due to the melting of the snow, but We are looking forward to better days soon.
